Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.     Colossians 3:5

I hope the Challenge is going well for you so far! Let’s be praying for each other as we do this. And don’t forget to review what you’ve learned, especially the newer verses. The method I want to share with you today is to write down only the first letters of each word and use that as a prompt until you can do the whole thing without even looking at the letters.

P t d, t, w b t y e n:

s i, i, l, e d a g, w i i.

Of course you’ll want to read the verse several times before you try this. VERY IMPORTANT: always read out loud if possible. Hearing the words in addition to seeing them will help cement them in your brain.

Note to parents: feel free to omit the word “sexual.” If your child asks you what “immorality” means, you can give whatever age-appropriate definition you think best.
