And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.Colossians 3:17

Wow–you’ve made it to the last day!!! Praise God for giving us minds that can learn and remember! By now, you’ve learned several different methods for memorizing verses. So today I want to encourage you to use whichever method or methods you think would work best for you to learn Colossians 3:17.

This last verse is a fitting one to wrap up the Colossians 3 Challenge, reminding us that we need to be doing this (and everything) for Jesus’ sake, as his representatives. Once you have these 17 verses recorded in your mind, I want to encourage you to do two things: 1) come up with a plan for reviewing them on a regular basis, and 2) most importantly, meditate on them.

It’s probably a good idea to quote what you’ve learned every day for at least a month. In order to get these Scriptures deep into your mind, you’ll want to become so familiar with them that the words just roll off your tongue, almost automatically.

But remember that the whole purpose of this exercise is to have Scripture memorized so that it can shape the way we think and behave. So let these sacred words soak in…reflect on them…call them to mind when they speak to a specific situation in your life…use them to be more mindful of our great God as you go about your day.

And now I just have one question for you: what are you going to memorize next?
